Surfboards are often made from unnatural materials like polyurethane, some sort of resin and a slew of other materials, so the design seen here from Otter Surfboards is intended to change this. Designed by Martin Spurway for the brand, the surfboard is made from sustainably sourced wood in order to acknowledge how the equipment can be made far more ecologically sustainable in the long run.
Consumer preferences for sustainable and eco-friendly products is only increasing as more people become aware of how artificial building materials like plastic are harming the planet. This seeing new solutions like the design seen here for Otter Surfboards by Spurway that are going back to traditional aesthetic and materials in a manner that is more respectful and sustainable.
