Eco-Conscious Rugs

Eco-conscious designers Mehdi and Amandine teamed up to create Carret Design, which offers modern rugs with sustainability at the forefront. The stylish pieces, designed with funky patterns, encourage eco-friendly innovations without sacrificing aesthetics.

The due explains that they "have worked hard to create the most ecologically relevant rugs possible. Instead of using polluting or animal-derived materials, we reuse plastic waste abandoned in our oceans." Each rug is made from 100% recycled plastic materials. In addition, the carpets are fully recyclable for easy disposal at the end of their lifecycle. Carret Design's sustainable material is dubbed Econyl. It is a recycled nylon fiber made from plastic waste. Moreover, the material boasts an ultra-soft feel.
