Carbon-Negative Area Rugs

High-end area rug brand FLOR recently introduced its Spring Collection and with it, its very first carbon-negative area rugs. There are three style-conscious and sustainable rugs in the collection, each of which takes cues from natural features and forms. Peninsula, Stratosphere and Hemisphere rugs use plant-based materials that have sequestered carbon. FLOR's CQuest BioX backing has a negative carbon footprint, making it possible for them to draw more carbon from the air than they release from the extraction of raw materials through manufacturing.

To make it easy for environmentally minded consumers to find these carbon-negative rugs when they are shopping, the brand labels them with a special symbol. In the future, FLOR plans to release more styles to further benefit the planet and offer high-style design that doesn't compromise the health of the planet.
