The Newest Zara Dresses Feature a Material Made from Carbon Emissions

The newest Zara dresses that have been added to the apparel retailer's website feature polyester made with Lanzanol, an ethanol made from recycled CO2. These dresses from the capsule holiday collection make the most of recycled steel plant carbon emissions that are turned into an ethanol through the process of fermentation. Styles like the Short Dress with Ruching feature details such as a strapless, straight neck with balloon sleeves and draping, plus a hidden in-seam zip closure.
Zara is one of the biggest clothing chains in the world and its work with LanzaTech helps to find new pathways to recycle carbon emissions. This is one of the releases from the Sustainable Innovation Hub platform for partner collaborations and identifying technological innovations that help to reduce the environmental impact of fashion-forward apparel and accessories.
