LanzaTech and lululemon are partnering to create the world's first yarn and fabric made from recycled carbon emissions. This innovation recognizes that there need to be changes to the way carbon is sourced, used and disposed, and the solutions that will come out of this collaboration will help to make the most of carbon emissions that would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere as pollution.
As LanzaTech identifies, " With a lower carbon footprint, this innovation could transform lululemon’s products and the apparel industry." With resources like this at their disposal, brands in the apparel industry have the potential to reduce their reliance on virgin fossil fuels, meet their climate change goals faster and align their products (including activewear designs and beyond) with the circular economy.
