'ReTraze Island Plastic' and 'ReTraze Aqua- (Aqua Minus)' by RECYCTEX are innovative recycled polyester yarns that use plastic waste collected from sea islands as raw materials. ReTraze Island Plastic focuses on the fragile mismanaged waste on sea islands, which are the last defense lines against marine plastic pollution. ReTraze Aqua- uses a solution-dyeing technology that infuses the yarn with vibrant and consistent color, without the need for extra dyestuff or water. Both yarns are certified by GRS and Ocean Bound Plastic, and are traceable by blockchain and GPS tracking system.

By using ReTraze Island Plastic and ReTraze Aqua-, the textile industry can benefit from the environmental and social impacts of reducing plastic pollution, saving water and energy, and supporting local communities and collectors. The yarns also offer flexible and customized services to brands, with a minimum order quantity as low as 200 KG per color. Moreover, the yarns have high performance of color constancy and color fastness, which can enhance the quality and durability of the fabrics. ReTraze Island Plastic and ReTraze Aqua- are therefore promising solutions for the textile industry to achieve sustainability and circularity goals.
