Thanks to a partnership with recycled cotton producer Recover, Primark will be the first high-street retailer to to use Recover’s RColorBlend on a global scale and in its new leisurewear range. RColorBlend is a low-impact innovation that blends colored recycled fibre from textile waste (sourced from factory floor cutting waste or used clothes) with a recycled carrier fiber. Together, color is achieved and no additional dyeing treatments are needed. Additionally, this process means that limited water and chemicals are involved.

The new range of leisurewear includes t-shirts and sweatshirts in colors like gray, blue and pink, proving that high-quality garments in different colors can be produced with minimum environmental impacts. The range made with recycled cotton and polyester fibers is set to launch across select stores in Europe and the USA.
