E-Bike Trade-In Programs

Upway is Offering its Trade-In Program at RadRetail Locations

Upway has expanded its trade-in program to Rad Power Bikes' RadRetail locations across the United States, offering customers the opportunity to trade in their older e-bikes for a discount on a new Rad e-bike. This partnership aims to simplify the e-bike upgrade process while promoting sustainability by extending the lifecycle of e-bikes and reducing waste. The program uses Upway's proprietary pricing algorithm to provide instant valuation estimates for over 200 e-bike brands, making the trade-in process quick and transparent.

Customers can bring their current e-bike to participating RadRetail locations, where Rad staff will use Upway's real-time pricing tool to determine its value. They can then choose to sell their e-bike on Upway's website or apply the trade-in value as an instant discount on a new Rad e-bike at the store. The traded-in e-bikes are sent to Upway's refurbishment centers, where they are tested and resold as certified pre-owned bikes, further supporting a circular economy.

This collaboration between Upway and Rad Power Bikes underscores their commitment to sustainability and providing accessible electric mobility solutions. By offering a seamless and efficient way to upgrade e-bikes, the program helps reduce the environmental impact associated with production and disposal, while making e-bike upgrades more affordable for consumers. The trade-in program is available at RadRetail locations in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, St. Petersburg, Florida, and several California cities, including Berkeley, Santa Barbara, Huntington Beach, and San Diego.
