'Drop Mobility' announced that it will provide e-bikes as a vendor to supply the Shift Bike program in several cities. The cities of Vail, Avon, and EagleVail, will roll the Shift Bike program out in the coming months. Through Shift Bike, users will be able to rent e-bikes via a mobile application at one of the hubs located in the cities.
When Shift Bike launches it will have 20 sharing hubs with more than 90 e-bikes spread among them. Users will be able to pick up and drop off the bikes from any of the hubs. Through this program, cities such as Vail plan to leverage e-bike transportation to make daily commutes more sustainable for its citizens. This is one step in a citywide commitment to reducing emissions by up to 80% by 2050.
