One tire at a time, Goodyear is making the future of transportation more environmentally friendly, especially thanks to innovations like its newest sustainable tire.

The newly unveiled tire is made from 70% sustainable materials and 13 materials, including soybean oil, rice husk ash, and polyester made from plastic waste. Each of these thoughtfully selected materials serves a purpose, and in the case of soybean oil, this bio-based material was chosen for the way it helps to keep rubber pliable as the tire heats and cools. Rice husk ask was chosen as a replacement for silica and this waste-reducing material gives new life to a by-product of rice processing.

Thanks to this innovation, Goodyear is well on its way to meeting its goal of creating a 100% sustainable tire by 2030.
