ASICS' GEL-LYTE III CM 1.95 is the result of more than a decade of research and development and it introduces a sneaker that emits just 1.95kg CO2e across its life cycle. These sneakers represent a major leap for ASICS since these sneakers are said to be "significantly lighter than the lowest CO2e sneakers currently available on the market." This was made possible with features like a new carbon-negative foam and more. These sneakers are constructed from a fusion of bio-based polymers derived partly from sugarcane and they integrate a neew structure and tape that enables less material usage, and 100% renewable energy used throughout the manufacturing process.
