Levi has just unveiled its most sustainable jeans yet. The denim will be used in two brand new cuts in Levi's Wellthread line—one will be for men and it will boast the silhouette of the iconic 502, while the other be for women as the High Loose model.

The sustainable jeans are made from a blend of organic cotton and Circulose. The latter material is a fabric that is gaining considerable traction in the fashion world due to its closed-loop approach to manufacturing. The innovative fabric is produced by re:newcell who "breaks down [discarded cotton textiles] through water." The output is a sheet of Circulose which is made into viscose fiber.

Given the popularity of the garment as a staple for generations of style-minded individuals, and this new mode of manufacturing for Levi's, the new 502 and High Loose models are sure to be a hit.
