Nike Grind is a Material Made Up of the Sportswear Company's Own Trash

Many companies are making an effort to become more green -- whether for its own mission statement or for its view in the eyes of eco-conscious consumers -- and Nike Grind is one way in which the global sportswear company is trying to make such an impact. Nike Grind is the name of a special material made out of the brand's very own waste.
Now making up 71 per cent of its footwear, Nike Grind is specifically made out of recycled sneakers, plastic bottles and manufacturing scraps from Nike’s factories. Collected using its Reuse-A-Shoe program, some of these waste materials are also sold to buyers who use them to line running tracks, playgrounds, gym and weight room floors and carpet underlay. It's one way to stay eco-friendly.
