Softys Colombia Reuses Waste from Other Business Operations
Colin Smith — March 11, 2022'Softys Colombia' is the parent company to several personal hygiene brands in Colombia, has launched a new circularity-focused initiative. As part of this initiative, Softys will recycle paper from its own waste products and waste products of other businesses through partnerships. Then, Softys uses up to 90% of this recycled paper when creating its own personal care products.
Aside from recycling paper, Softys has also committed to recycling other forms of waste that can be used to create water retention containers or power energy systems. This initiative is part of Softys' pledge to become a true carbon-neutral supplier of goods in Colombia. On top of Softys' own operations, the brand has also partnered with the 'CMPC,' which allows Softys to track the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of its material suppliers. With these tracking mechanics, Softys can ensure that its business model is ethical and sustainable from end to end.
