Mars, Inc.'s partnership with several agribusinesses aims to support its transition to regenerative farming across its North American pet food supply chain. This effort, which is part of Mars' broader commitment to sustainability, aims to reduce carbon emissions and enhance environmental outcomes by encouraging the adoption of regenerative practices such as reduced tillage and cover cropping. Through these partnerships, the initiative seeks to transition 150,000 acres in 2024 and ultimately contribute to Mars' goal of applying such methods across over one million acres by 2030.

The eco-friendly and regenerative farming-focused initiative involves key collaborators like ADM, The Andersons, Inc., Riceland Foods, and the Soil and Water Outcomes Fund. The focus is on improving soil health, water quality, and biodiversity, all while helping farmers lower greenhouse gas emissions.
