Sustainable Dairy Cafe Partnerships

Starbucks and the Dairy Farmers of Canada Partnered

Starbucks and the Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) have announced a new partnership in Canada to help further a movement towards reducing dairy emissions.

The partnership will see Starbucks Canada providing $500,000 CAD to the initiative over the course of the year that will fund a variety of sustainability-focused projects. This includes The Farm Credit Canada (FCC) and Lactanet for FCC's Dairy Sustainability Incentive program with additional ones slated for the near-future. The partnership comes as part of a larger shift towards sustainability in the industry as consumers come to demand more accountability.

SVP and General Manager at Starbucks Canada Lori Digulla commented on the Starbucks and the Dairy Farmers of Canada partnership saying, "At Starbucks, we are committed to working alongside others to help our communities thrive and protect the planet. As a company that relies on the dairy sector every day, we have a responsibility to innovate and collaborate to source dairy responsibly and sustainably. With DFC, we hope to combine the best knowledge and resources together to help the farmer community in Canada and ensure a sustainable future of dairy for all.”
