Disassembly Lab Footwear is Easily Repaired by Consumers

The Disassembly Lab footwear has been conceptualized by Robin Luginbuhl as a sustainable sneaker style that prioritizes easy repairability and an eco-friendly design.
The shoe starts off with an outsole that's accented on the sides by a series of nodes, which enable the upper to be kept in place and affixed with a rubber band rather than requiring glue. This aspect allows the shoe to be easily deconstructed for each component to be replaced as required, while also allowing the end user to customize the fit to their preferences.
Luginbuhl spoke on the Disassembly Lab footwear saying, "Products can’t live on their own anymore; they have to be conditioned to a new system if they want to become more responsible. Essentially, Disassembly extends the life of a shoe, making it repairable, restorable, replaceable, and recyclable.”
