Cardiff Business School has entered into a partnership with the Advanced Timber Hub (ATH), led by the University of Queensland, to drive sustainable innovation in the timber industry. This collaboration aims to advance sustainable timber supply chains, NetZero strategies, and circular economies. Professors Vasco Sanchez Rodrigues and Calvin Jones from Cardiff Business School bring their expertise in NetZero operations, supply chain resilience, and sustainable timber economics to the partnership. They will work alongside industry leaders such as Arup, AKD, Aurecon, and Hyne Timber, as well as top research institutions, including the University of Canterbury, Royal Institute of Technology, University of British Columbia, and 12 Australian universities.

The partnership aligns with Cardiff Business School's Public Value ethos, promoting knowledge exchange between the UK and international forestry and timber sectors. The collaboration is expected to drive impactful research, influence industry practices, and attract government and industry funding to accelerate future innovations. Cardiff Business School aims to expand its contributions to the ATH over time, further strengthening global efforts toward a more sustainable timber economy. This partnership underscores Cardiff Business School's commitment to sustainability and its role in advancing sustainable practices within the timber industry.
