Collaborative Nature Projects

Catona Climate, a climate finance organization, has partnered with the nonprofit Eden: People+Planet to support large-scale, nature-based solutions through Compassionate Carbon, its carbon project development subsidiary. This collaboration is designed to focus on "Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) initiatives aimed at restoring substantial areas of degraded land across the Global South."

The projects are meant to "rehabilitate hundreds of thousands of hectares while removing millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere; beyond their environmental contributions, these efforts also aim to provide benefits to local communities, including sustainable livelihood opportunities, and enhance regional biodiversity." Ultimately, by combining environmental restoration with social impact, this partnership seeks to address pressing climate challenges in a holistic and scalable manner.
