Captured Carbon Art Initiatives

Air Art is a unique future-forward art program founded by Expedition Air, an e-commerce site dedicated to selling products made from captured carbon. The platform taps artists from around the world whose work draws attention to the value of Carbon Capture and Utilization.

More specifically, Air Art implements a residency program to support artists in the exploration of carbon capture materials produced by the company's technology partners. For example, Air Art's first Artist in Residence, Annalee Levin, produced an array of carbon-based art and even launched her own business: Captured Carbon Studio.

Levin's Captured Carbon Studio now offers innovative products such as a set of crayons and a palette of watercolors, both made from captured carbon. "My goal with Captured Carbon Studio has been to create artwork and consumer products to help educate the general public about carbon capture and the ways in which upcycled CO2 emissions can be used for our benefit," explained Levin in a recent interview.
