Online Carbon Removal Platforms

'BeZero Carbon' (BeZero) is a London-based climate asset and liability management solutions provider. In a recent partnership, BeZero has teamed up with Vancouver-based Carbon Engineering (CE) to permanently remove large amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere.

CE has a leading 'Direct Air Capture' (DAC) system that removes carbon from the atmosphere through intake fans that absorb carbonated air. This carbonated air is then sequestered and repurposed. BeZero has an online carbon rating framework that assesses the effectiveness of various carbon removal initiatives. On BeZero's platform, the ratings scale from A to AAA+, and at this time, CE's DAC is the only removal method to receive an AAA+ rating.

This collaboration was jumpstarted by BeZero purchasing a large amount of carbon removal from CE. Following this initial purchase, consumers and companies can contribute annually on BeZero's platform to directly remove carbon through CE's DAC infrastructure. BeZero's website also allows its investors to view the amount of carbon that they have personally contributed to removing.
