'Sustaera' is a subdivision of 'Susteon Inc.' that focuses on carbon dioxide removal. Its flagship method of achieving this is direct air capture DAC) technology. In what is being called 'DAC 2.0,' Sustaera has developed a method of reducing the carbon that enters the atmosphere that is low-cost, energy-efficient, space-efficient, and built on existing energy sources.

DAC 2.0 is powered by materials available in existing supply chains that are not carbon-based but can be repurposed as carbon capture sorbents. The layout of DAC 2.0 structures is space-efficient as the capturing devices are not land-based, so they can be placed on surfaces in a land-conserving manner. On top of this, Sustaera's DAC 2.0 technology is modular, meaning it is scalable, customizable, and adjustable with relatively low effort.

When combining each of these boons, Sustaera's DAC devices are estimated to capture CO2 at less than $100 per ton. This is incredibly efficient when expert projections show the carbon capture industry of 2030 being valued at greater than $1 trillion.
