Biochar Life and Siam Cement Group (SCG) have teamed up for partnership exploring biochar-infused cement and other sustainable building materials. Biochar, a carbon-negative material, offers environmental benefits by locking in carbon and enhancing material durability. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to transform the construction industry’s carbon footprint.

The partnership will kick off with a pilot project at Chiang Mai University, where biochar cement roads will be tested for their environmental impact and durability. Biochar Life will work on scaling biochar production to meet SCG’s specifications, while SCG will explore ways to expand Biochar Life’s smallholder program, providing farmers with mobile industrial units.

This partnership not only aims to develop innovative materials but also highlights a shared commitment to addressing global sustainability challenges. By harnessing biochar’s unique properties, Biochar Life and SCG are setting a new standard for environmentally responsible construction practices.
