Tesco Debuts a Sustainability Project with Branston and ABP
Kanesa D — January 14, 2025Tesco has partnered with Branston and ABP to work collaboratively on projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions across agricultural supply chains. The initiative will explore a range of transformative technologies and practices, including low-carbon fertilizers, alternative fuels, and advanced cold storage solutions to optimize energy use. Additionally, the partnership will investigate carbon removal techniques, which are becoming an essential component of achieving net-zero emissions.
Notably, the collaboration will also address critical areas like soil health, biodiversity management, improved grazing practices, and genetic advancements, which could enhance crop and livestock resilience while reducing environmental footprint.
More than just an internal effort, the project aims to serve as a practical blueprint for net-zero supply chains, showcasing scalable solutions that other suppliers across the agricultural sector can adopt.
