Sysco GB has teamed up with Nutritics to launch 'Foodprint,' an innovative carbon measurement and labeling tool. Designed to help businesses track and communicate the environmental impact of their food offerings, the tool will now be accessible to Sysco GB customers through its food service subsidiary, Brakes.

Foodprint comprehensively assesses carbon emissions throughout the entire value chain. The tool goes beyond just production, factoring in waste management and packaging processes to offer a holistic view of a product’s environmental footprint. This helps businesses demonstrate sustainable sourcing methods through carbon labels and menus.

Foodprint ensures accuracy and credibility by leveraging data from trusted sources. Where site-specific data is unavailable, the tool uses peer-reviewed industry averages to fill the gaps, maintaining transparency and reliability.
