Green Plains Inc. Debuts Reduced-Impact Corn Syrups for Novel Applications

Green Plains Inc. is set to produce lower-carbon dextrose syrups, reflecting a huge milestone as the brand claims to operate the world’s first commercial deployment of Clean Sugar Technology (CST). This groundbreaking facility utilizes a patented process developed by Fluid Quip Technologies to manufacture dextrose and glucose corn syrups with up to 40% lower carbon intensity than traditional alternatives.

The innovative CST system aligns with environmental sustainability goals and caters to the growing demand for low-carbon ingredients across various industries. The low carbon-intensity syrups produced at this facility are tailored for multiple applications, including renewable chemicals, bio-based materials, and food and beverage formulations.
