Carbon Footprint Calculators

It’s NOT about going carbon neutral anymore

S Group, a leading retailer in Findland, created a carbon footprint calculator for its S-mobiili app service 'Omat ostot' (My Purchases) that gives people the power to see the impact of the food they've purchased. The new tool was developed with experts from Natural Resources Institute Finland and helps consumers see the impact they make with everything that goes into their shopping basket.

While the carbon footprint calculator does not account for the climate impact of individual products, it does show the impact of different product groups. With this service, consumers have the potential to become more mindful with their consumption habits.

In the fall, S Group will be launching a calculator that shows the degree of Finnish origin of food products.
