Sustainable Grocery Concepts

Asda launched a brand-new sustainability trial store that's focused on reducing plastic. The store is focused on the three R's (reducing, reusing and recycling) and Asda is working with many partners and supplies to innovate in this area, and do so at an affordable price. Asda's new sustainability feeds into the Greener at Asda Price launch, which promises that loose products will not cost more than their wrapped counterparts.

Over the next few months, this new store will be used to test the ideas and offers that appeal most to consumers, as well as the ones that can be offered at scale and potentially even introduced to new locations as soon as this year.

With this new store and other initiatives, the retailer estimates being able to save a million pieces of plastic from being used per year.
