Eco-Friendly Mobility Expansions

Segway recently announced the expansion of its eBike operations with the establishment of a dedicated U.S. division, led by Nick Howe, a seasoned industry professional with 25 years of experience. This new division aims to strengthen Segway's presence in the North American market by focusing on two new long-range electric bike models, the Xafari and Xyber. Both bikes are designed to offer extended range capabilities, with the Xafari promising an impressive 88 miles (141 km) per charge and the Xyber offering up to 100 miles (160 km) per charge thanks to its dual battery setup.

To support this expansion, Segway is building a comprehensive dealer network across the U.S., targeting independent bike shops, e-bike specialists, and some motorcycle dealers. The company's strategy includes both in-store and online sales, ensuring a seamless customer experience. By integrating Segway's Intelligent Ride System, these eBikes are equipped with advanced technology often seen in automobiles. With this move, Segway is poised to make a significant impact in the eBike market, offering sustainable and innovative transportation solutions designed to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly mobility.
