General Motors (GM) and EVgo have announced an expansion of their collaboration to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the United States. This initiative involves the deployment of 400 fast charging stalls at flagship locations in major metropolitan areas. These stations will feature advanced 350kW fast chargers, designed to meet the growing demand for reliable and efficient EV charging solutions. The flagship stations will include customer-centric features such as canopies, ample lighting, pull-through access, and security cameras, aiming to provide a convenient and secure charging experience for EV drivers.

The new charging stations will be strategically located near amenities such as shopping centers, dining establishments, and coffee shops, allowing drivers to utilize nearby services while their vehicles charge. This initiative is part of GM and EVgo’s ongoing efforts to support the increasing number of EVs on the road and to promote the adoption of electric vehicles by addressing key infrastructure needs. The first of these flagship stations is expected to open in 2025, with the goal of setting a new benchmark in the EV charging landscape.
