In an effort to make driving electric cars more accessible in Europe, the Royal Dutch Shell is introducing new power stations, which can charge an electric vehicle in under 5 minutes.

The new car charging stations will be available in 10 different European companies and serve as an effort from the oil and gas company, to cater toward the increasing number of European citizens who are looking for greener travel alternatives. The stations are said to be three times more powerful than other iterations on the market, charging a vehicle in five to eight minutes.

These stations were made possible through a collaboration between Shell and IONITY, a company that hopes to grow its network of electric car charging devices to 400 stations by 2020.
