Greenery-Enclosing Medical Buildings

This Building's Atrium Will Be Packed With Trees & Plants

The Brazilian city of Sao Paolo is all set to be home to a spectacular new medical building that makes use of an array of techniques including glazing and greenery installation to make for a space that is pleasant, peaceful and designed to create the best possible research environment for the scientists and students who will occupy the space.

The Albert Einstein Education and Research Center, designed by none other than Safdie Architects, will feature an atrium that was designed as part of a partnership with landscaping expert Isabel Duprat. Scores of trees and plants will be situated in the site, while a fountain and seating areas will make it a pleasant place to unwind for scientists and researchers taking a break from their experiments or graduate research students preparing for exams.

Part of a broader network of hospital buildings, the Albert Einstein Education and Research Center is a fine example of how adequate use of greenery can be used to enhance the aesthetics and environment of research edifices.
