Classic Recipe Plant-Based Meats

These new Me-at products from the Netherlands-based brand have been introduced to provide consumers with pant-based meat options that are inspired by classic German recipes. The products include the meatloaf-inspired Leberkäse, Nürnberger-style sausages and the mixed meat roast-inspired Sauerbraten, which are each crafted with plant-based protein ingredients and boast impressive fiber content. The items respond to demand for vegan-friendly food products that have a sense of heritage to them as more consumers shift towards meat-free alternatives.

Business Development Manager, Plant-Based at brand owner Vion Food Group spoke on the new Me-at products saying, "Our food designers have now ‘reinvented’ three true classics specifically for the German palate. The focus was not only on achieving the closest possible match with the original but also on providing a positive nutritional profile. We are confident that our reinterpretations will quickly find their fans."
