Two new sustainable meat packaging solutions have been created by Germany-based packaging company Südpack that are targeted towards reducing the amount of material required to contain the food product. The packaging solutions are achieved using far less material in comparison to other options on the market and are positioned as a more efficient option for brands to choose. The packaging includes the Flow Pack PurePP and the Multifol PurePP, which are reported to use 60% and 55% less packaging than tray alternatives, respectively.

Managing Partner of Südpack Carolin Grimbacher spoke on the new sustainable meat packaging range saying, "The Pure-Line products are the result of intensive research and development. They demonstrate our continuous efforts to improve and rethink existing packaging concepts. In addition, we count upon the high quality and recyclability of our Pure-Line composite films. In combination, this makes the new packaging concepts particularly innovative and sustainable.”
