These Parkside lidding films are being launched by the UK-based brand as a new range of packaging solutions that come as part of the brand's larger Sustainable 7 product strategy.

The films are capable of being used across the brand's supply chain when discussing the duplex laminate solution, while other versions are rated for use with soft fruits, cold meats, dairy products and much more. These applications will help to keep foods fresher for longer and could thus contribute towards less food waste overall for consumers to appreciate. The range makes use of ParkScribe laser scoring technology, which helps it to stay intact during the recycling process.

Head of Technical Joshua Swann spoke further on the Parkside lidding films saying, "ParkScribe uses a laser to score substrates quickly and with micron-level precision. It means we can cut through only a few layers of the lidding material in specific areas to create a lid that peels away, then reseals without the need for additional glue strips, zips or stickers, which can affect recyclability."
