Recycled Resin Packaging Solutions

The Gunze GEOPLAS HCT3 heat-shrinkable film is a new solution from the Japan-based plastic film manufacturer focused on reducing reliance on virgin materials. The plastic film is reported to use 30% recycled raw materials and will be launched first within Japan before expanding distribution to the US and the ASEAN markets. The film is reported to work effectively for perforation suitability, content resistance, heat resistance and more.

The Gunze GEOPLAS HCT3 heat-shrinkable film will work well for use on food products, as a shrink label on bottled drinks, and even within the personal care and cosmetics space. The shrinkable film will be launching formally in January 2023 with a ratio increase of 50% recycled plastic by 2024 towards a 100% goal by 2030.
