Melodea Debuts 'VBseal' to Reduce Plastic Waste in Packaged Goods

Melodea, an Israeli green technology company, has introduced 'VBseal,' a new and innovative coating designed to cut plastic waste. 'VBseal' offers heat-sealing qualities and is resistant to water vapor, oil, and scent. The coating can also be completely recycled, which helps lower the amount of plastic going to landfills. It is FDA and BfR-compliant, and also free of paraformaldehyde and bisphenol A.

“The VBseal is two products in one coating layer, making it a revolutionary product that answers the needs of the packaging industry for sustainable paper packaging. It offers exceptional resistance to water vapor and heat-sealing properties while being recyclable,” commented Cee Azerraf, vice president of sales and marketing of Melodea.

'VBseal' will be used for fresh foods, cereals, fast foods, detergents, confectionary, and cosmetics, allowing the same or higher performance with less environmental impact.
