NEXTLOOPP Completed a Trial of its 'PPristine' Resin Packaging

'PPristine' is a food-grade recycled polypropylene (PP) resin developed by NEXTLOOPP to close the loop on food-grade PP packaging. The resin is made from post-consumer PP packaging waste, which is cleaned, sorted, and processed to produce a high-quality recycled resin suitable for use in food packaging applications.

One of the key benefits of PPristine is its ability to reduce the environmental impact of food packaging. By using recycled materials, NEXTLOOPP can reduce the amount of waste in landfills and oceans and conserve natural resources such as oil and gas. Additionally, using recycled materials can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with producing virgin plastics.

Another advantage of PPristine is its performance characteristics. According to the company, the finished packs made with PPristine showed excellent visual and processing characteristics, with only slight variations between the 30% rPP pack and the virgin PP pack. This suggests that PPristine can be used as a drop-in replacement for virgin PP in many food packaging applications without compromising on quality or performance.
