Sustainable Retailer Shipping Vehicles

Marks & Spencer has announced a new fleet of zero and low-emissions vehicles that it will use as part of its logistics fleet in the UK to help contribute towards an overall greener supply chain. The brand will launch 85 trucks as part of the initiative that will help to fulfill Plan A in its roadmap to Net Zero, which is projected to be achieved by 2040. The vehicles will include zero-emissions battery electric vehicles for the M&S Clothing & Home distribution center in Welham Green and much more.

Head of Group Transport at Marks & Spencer Julian Bailey spoke on the new fleet of trucks saying, "Adapting our logistics network is vital in achieving our Plan A Net Zero ambitions. We’re committed to reducing carbon emissions from our transport and through collaboration we are able to reduce carbon, save energy, and drive operational efficiencies across the business. By trialling new vehicle technologies, we’re able to deliver our products, which are sourced and made with care, to our depots and stores with a lower impact on our planet.”
