London is set to enhance its public transport system with the introduction of 32 new zero-emission electric buses in South London, marking a significant step towards greener urban mobility. Operated by Go-Ahead, these electric buses, known as Enviro100EVs can accommodate up to 41 passengers, with 21 seats available.

Designed specifically for navigating the city’s narrow streets and housing estates, the buses measure 8.5 meters in length and 2.35 meters in width, ensuring improved maneuverability in tight spaces. Nick Owen, Transport for London’s director of buses, welcomed the addition, noting the importance of sustainable transportation options.

This initiative aligns with the Mayor’s goal of achieving a fully zero-emission fleet by 2030, reflecting a commitment to cleaner air and more sustainable urban living. The start date for service has yet to be announced.
