Tennessee Tire Recycling Events

The Knox County Health Department has officially partnered with Knox County Solid Waste Management to help sponsor a tire recycling event that will take place on Saturday, March 29. To participate, consumers must simply present their ID to confirm their residency in the county.

Once verified, attendees will be able to unload your tires onto a semi-truck for recycling, with no fees and no limit on the number you can bring—though tires with rims will not be accepted. The event is exclusively for private residents, although tires from farms are welcome. Commercial entities will not be able to drop off tires, making this a community-focused event. Organizers are hopeful that this event will become a regular, annual opportunity for the county, helping to reduce waste and promote environmental sustainability.
