Irdeto and ChargeHub have introduced a new Plug & Charge (P&C) and roaming solution, making EV charging "easier and more secure across over 170 networks in the U.S. and Canada; this system helps Charge Point Operators (CPOs), e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs), and car manufacturers expand their charging infrastructure faster and more efficiently."

Irdeto’s Plug & Charge toolkit, part of its 'CrossCharge PKI' platform, allows EV drivers to charge their vehicles automatically without extra authentication steps. With ChargeHub’s 'Passport eRoaming Hub,' drivers can use one account to "access more than 120,000 charging ports across multiple networks."

Moreover, this solution also simplifies billing by providing operators with a single monthly statement for both roaming and Plug & Charge services, making it easier to manage systems and improve the EV charging experience for everyone involved.
