Technology Driven Sustainability Efforts

Zurich Insurance Hong Kong has launched green initiatives in collaboration with Negawatt Utility Limited and Cornerstone Technologies to advance environmental sustainability in Hong Kong. These efforts aim to establish a community-oriented green ecosystem by encouraging eco-friendly practices, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

This partnership is part of Zurich’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes a "commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2030, the initiative integrates innovative technologies." Central to this effort is Negawatt’s 'ZERO2 app,' an "ESG rewards platform that incentivizes sustainable behaviors such as recycling, energy conservation, and electric vehicle (EV) charging in which participants can earn points redeemable for rewards, including discounts on Zurich insurance products."

With support from Cornerstone Technologies’ EV charging network, these initiatives demonstrate Zurich’s dedication to embedding ESG values into its offerings while fostering environmentally responsible behaviors.
