Eco-conscious citizens from around the globe are protesting the climate crisis currently facing the world, and SodaStream has joined the movement with its own global climate strike. The brand announced on Instagram that: "on Friday, September 20th, our e-commerce and head office will shut down for 24 hours in solidarity with the young generation for a better future."

SodaStream also announced that its employees are participating in a shoreline clean up to further propel the eco-friendly initiative. The company is already a leader in environmental stewardship as its business model centers around creating a sustainable way to carbonate beverages -- eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles. Moreover, the brand has a comprehensive recycling program for its cylinder to further prevent plastic waste.
