Smart Brassware Packages

Aqualla Uses Digital Brochures to Reduce its Climate Impact

'Aqualla' is a designer brassware and home design company with a newly-launched commitment to sustainability. One of the prongs of Aqualla's sustainability plan heavily relies upon the implementation of digital brochures to accompany its products.

The company equips its product packages with QR codes that link to relevant digital brochures. This is part of the company's 'Carbon Balanced Brochure Production' plan. These brochures allow for less paper, plastic, and other materials in the manufacturing process. The brochures then provide any relevant information that would have been packaged in paper format in the product's box.

Aqualla offers a concrete example of the impact of its digital brochures, stating that, with only its marketing brochure, it "balanced through World Land Trust the equivalent of 14,587 kg of carbon dioxide and helped protect 2,786 m2 of critically threatened tropical forest," showing that the environmental benefit of digital brochures is very real.
