Yamaha Launches a New Carbon Neutral Paint Line
Kanesa D — March 13, 2025Yamaha is supporting a carbon neutral future for its business, aiming to transform its operations by 2050. As a part of this, the company is launching a carbon neutral paint line designed for motorcycles, helping transform the industry one step at a time. Yamaha has traditionally relied on fossil fuels in its painting process. This includes using heat to prepare paint and other liquids, maintaining temperature and humidity levels in its booths, and ensuring proper drying and curing of painted surfaces.
However, the company has now introduced the CN1 painting line, which runs entirely on electricity. This innovation was made possible by working closely with a paint manufacturer to develop paints that work at lower temperatures. Additionally, Yamaha optimized the facility’s design, improved insulation, and implemented air supply recycling technology to make the process more efficient and eco-friendly.
