Energy-Saving Pretreatment Lines

JSW MG Motor India has set a new benchmark in sustainable manufacturing by becoming the first OEM in India to implement a Green Pretreatment line in its paint shop. Developed in collaboration with PPG Asian Paints, this eco-friendly process leverages an advanced ambient temperature phosphate technology that operates at 38°C, significantly lower than conventional systems running at 42–50°C.

By adopting this energy-efficient Pretreatment Electrodeposition (PT-ED) line, JSW MG Motor India is substantially reducing its environmental impact. The new system cuts energy consumption, leading to a reduction in carbon emissions of approximately 1,800 tons per year. This initiative strengthens the company’s commitment to green manufacturing and enhances its operational efficiency, reinforcing its leadership in environmentally responsible automotive production.
