Recycled Pollution Skincare Packaging

The Body Shop is Creating Plastic Containers Using Methane

Popular natural skincare brand The Body Shop is going to start offering container packaging that makes use of unwanted methane and carbon floating in the atmosphere with a design made from recycled pollution. The newly designed plastic is called AirCarbon and it will be featured throughout the brand's skincare and body range.

The AirCarbon is a clever environmentally friendly way to upcycle unwanted air pollution by transforming methane from natural gas and farms into solid plastic pellets using a reactor. The plastic can be melted down and used to create containers and bottles used for skin creams, shower gels and shampoos. The innovative packaging will turn an otherwise unusable pollutant into beauty packaging that is similar to what the brand is already using.
