Compostable Beauty Pouches

Proverb Skin is transitioning its entire range to eco-friendly packaging and this change is starting with the relaunch of packaging that's fully refillable and sustainable. The British natural skincare brand is working towards its 2023 goal with innovations like skincare trial samples that can be found in paper home compostable sachets—which are not just the first of their kind in the industry but also a world first. As Proverb Skin claims, "To date, nobody has held an emulsion in a paper-based pouch that will home compost."

The plastic-free pouches are made from layers of paper and biofilm from wood pulp cellulose. These sachets are designed to be home compostable at ambient temperatures and they will turn back into water, CO2 and biomass without ecotoxicity for the soil.
