Plastic-Free Tea Bags

Pluck offers plastic-free tea bags, an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional tea bags, which often contain plastics like polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). According to Pluck, these plastics, commonly used to seal conventional tea bags, can take years to break down, contributing to environmental issues.

In contrast, Pluck’s pyramid-shaped tea bags are made from "a plant-based, non-GMO material that is fully compostable; instead of relying on plastic or heat for sealing, these bags are joined using ultrasonic technology, providing a more sustainable option."

Additionally, Pluck’s tea bags "break down within three to five days in municipal composting facilities under optimal conditions—they also decompose effectively in well-maintained home composters or within three years in regular soil." By offering this innovative design, Pluck’s tea bags provide tea drinkers with a practical and eco-conscious choice.
